In 2007, while setting up computers for a LAN gaming center, I noticed that the Adobe Flash Player installer also offered an optional installation of Google Toolbar.

The original installer screenshots were no longer available during the migration.

The offer stood out because it showed the reach of Flash Player at the time. The Google Toolbar features I used most included:

  • autocomplete in search;
  • bookmarks tied to a Google account;
  • Orkut search.

The installer and the products mentioned here have since been discontinued. This text is preserved as a record of the web in 2007.
