Um dos motivos que migrei de Blogspot para o WordPress, era a possibilidade de postar códigos com highlight.
E confesso para vocês, foi complicado achar um bom plugin que tivesse compatibilidade com o WordPress 2.3.1
Foi então que pedi uma dica do meu colega Ebertom e me falou de um plugin chamado por ele de Hitler,
que na verdade se chama iG:Syntax Hiliter v3.5 que é muito bom por sinal.
Ex:
Um código em PHP:

$var1 = 23; // minha variavel 1
$var2 = 32; // minha variavel 2
$soma = $var1 + $var2; // somando as duas variaveis.
echo($soma);

Um código em ActionScript:

private function ():void{

Um código em Java:

Recomendo a leitura do Readme no .zip, tem um usage e como instalar o plugin corretamente.

Digamos que fiz sim mas bem pouco,
Como sabe, estou usando o iG:Syntax Hiliter v3.5 e apenas modifiquei o css para que funcionasse corretamente no Firefox, mas o problema ocorreu acredito que seja por causa do meu tema..
Mas, segue ae o link do .css alterado:
